While in most of the commercial potboilers actresses end up essaying glam dolls, Srabanti Chatterjee has created her own niche. Trying her luck in different genres with Goynar Baksho, Bhaijaan Elo Re, Uma, Piya Re and others, she is certainly interested in both serious and masala films. Horror is one such genre Srabanti loves to explore and finally she is a part of a Bengali horror comedy directed by Haranath Chakraborty.
“I have seen so many horror movies like ‘The Conjuring’ but obviously with family and a pillow in my hand to cover the face whenever needed. I was really moved by Anushka Sharma’s performance in Pari. She was just amazing with her expressions. The film itself gives the ghostly vibe so accurately that it will definitely scare you. I have long been waiting to be a part of a horror film and thanks to Harada (Haranath Chakraborty) for casting me in his Bhoot Chakra Pvt Ltd. See, everything happens at the right time,” revealed the actress while speaking about his love for horror films. Bhoot Chakra Pvt Ltd is a story of three friends which will be played by Soham Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakrabarty and Bonny Sengupta. Srabanti and Rittika sen are playing the female leads.
