SPZ Boys composed a narrow five-run win over Sri Lankan Cricket Club, Dhaka in the day’s first match of the 5th Raman Lamba & Daulat-Uz-Zaman Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Jagannath Hall Ground in Dhaka University on Friday.
Batting first SPZ Boys piled up a healthy total of 179 in 18 overs (two overs were curtailed due to bad weather).
Rakin of SPZ Boys top-scored with 88.
Later, Sri Lankan Cricket Club, Dhaka scored 174 off 18 overs.
Saminda of Sri Lankan Cricket Club notched up 108 runs. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance.
In the day’s second match, Computer Source registered an easy nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh Medical College at the same venue.
Chasing Bangladesh Medical College total of 147 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs, Computer Source sailed home in 17.2 overs making 148 for the loss of one wicket.
Arif of Computer Source remained unbeaten with 67. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding batting performance.
