“Pahela Falgun”, the first day of spring as regional culture which traditionally takes place with enjoying a colorful life with the flavor of spring, was welcomed at Jahangirnagar University on Thursday.
Welcoming the spring, JU Teacher Student Center (TSC) kicked off a concert entitled ‘Classical Night’ at Selim Al Deen Muktamancha while JU Vice-Chancellor Professor M A Matin addressed the function as the chief guest. A colorful rally was also brought out from the Arts Faculty building and paraded the campus as students and activists Of different cultural and social organizations were seen in jubilant mood.
Marking the day, the Bangla Sangsad of JU Bangla Department held a grand rally in front of New Arts building on the campus while JU Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Afsar Ahmad addressed the occasion as the chief guest.
