The Education Ministry is going to take “special measures” to check question papers leakage in the coming Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examination.
But the ministry will not disclose any thing about special measurers to the media before the examinations, the ministry sources said.
The ministry will form a high-level committee with the top officials of the Education Ministry and the law enforcing agencies.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at a function on Friday said, “We are trying our best. We have made some changes in our measures.
“We have already taken suggestion from different quarters to adopt new measures to make our efforts successful” he said.
“The ministry is coming up with some strategies ahead of the upcoming HSC examinations. “I think, the effort will bring good result. The strategies will not be disclosed before the HSC examination” the minister said.
Meanwhile, the education minister and the secretaries held meetings with the top officials of the ministry to make appropriate decision to fill all the gaps of the question papers leakage.
An official of the ministry wishing anonymity told The New Nation that the ministry has already realised its failure. Some officials of the ministry were involved in the question papers leakage and other irregularities in the education sector. As a result, it transferred some officials from the ministry.
“Some of the transferred officials had good link with the syndicate members of the question papers leakage. It was the ministry’s good decision to transfer them. Now the ministry’s initiative might be fruitful,” he said.
Earlier, the initiatives to check the SSC question papers leakage taken by the Education Ministry went in vain as the question papers leaked in everyday’s examination. Now the ministry wants to be successful taking its “Special measurers.”
