On the occasion of birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Tauquir Ahmed directed movie Sphulingo has been released on Independence Day, March 26 in 35 cinema halls across the country. Premiere show of the movie was held at a city cinema hall recently. Story, script and dialogue of the movie were also written by director Tauquir Ahmed. Pintu Ghosh gave music direction of the movie. National Film Award winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo, Abul Hayat, Pori Moni, Rawnak Hasan, Shamol Mawla, Corovi Mizan, among others, acted in different roles in the movie. Viewers will watch Mamo, Shamol and Pori Moni in roles of Irin, Partho and Diba respectively in the film. While talking about acting under Tauquir Ahmed’s direction after taking long time break Mamo said, “After 13 years while working in front of camera under Tauquir Bhai’s direction I was really afraid. I have tried to give my level best effort to play my role properly in the movie. It is no doubt Tauquir Bhai is one of the talented directors of present time. He is presenting our movies in the world. I was really in a journey while acting in this film.”
Shamol Mawla shared his feelings by this way, “I acted in role of Partho in the movie Sphulingo. I had to take necessary preparation before acting in this movie. I had to lose my weight regarding necessity of my character. In fact, my role Partho was very much challenging. I had to sacrifice many things for acting in this role. I give thanks to Tauquir Bhai to keep full confidence on me.”
Pori Moni said, “Before acting in the movie, Tauquir Bhai told me to cast me in role of Diba. So, I was prepared to play the role. Only I had to colour my hair into black for portray the role Diba properly. I have tried my level best to portray the role Diba nicely in the movie.”
“I always want to work to those actors who want to act. Here stardom is not factor. They were examined actors who worked in Sphulingo. I am very much optimistic about the movie,” director Tauquir Ahmed said.
