To avoid traffic congestion on road, special trains started to operate on the Gazipur-Tongi-Dhaka route from Sunday morning.
‘Turag Express’ left the station at about 7:15am for Dhaka. Besides, Tagngail commuter train also left the station at 8:20am, Gazipur Joydebpur Junction master Md Rezaul Islam said.
He said three commuter trains will be operated from today. Turag Express will leave for Dhaka at 7:15pm everyday and will leave Dhaka for Gazipur at 5:20pm.
Kaliakoir Demo train will leave Gazipur station around 5:30pm.
