A special cattle train with 803 cows reached Dhaka on Sunday. Ninety-seven cows from Chapainawabganj and Rajshahi reached Kamalapur Railway Station before 9am, Bangladesh Railway said.
Besides, 400 cows from Jamalpur’s Islampur bazar station and 306 cows and 20 goats from Dewanganj bazar came to Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Railway sources said a total of sacrificial animals worth Tk 3,0,67000 reached here on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
Another special train with 80 cows from Chapainawabganj is likely to arrive on Sunday.
