The government has identified 15 Muftis, who are spreading anti-democracy speech through their in Waj Mahfil.
Intelligence and Political wing of Ministry of Home Affairs in a report said that they are spreading thought of militancy, communalism, anti-minority’s right,
Anti-women and anti-liberation spirit.
Recently, a letter giving six instructions has been sent to the Islamic Foundation, the National Board of Revenue and the Divisional Commissioners from the political wing of the Ministry identifying those 15 speakers (Mufti).
Under the directive, the respective sections have been asked to bring the speakers (Mufti) under the law to prevent any provocation. At the same time, the letter instructed to monitor the income and taxpaying situation of them.
Additional Secretary (Political and ICT) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Abu Bakar Siddiqui said, “We have always been watching the Waj Mahafil. We got the information from the detective office and send it to different places to take action.”
He said, “We regularly get the reporst from the intelligence agency, and we communicate it with the related office and department as an advance arrangement. ‘In the letter, the names of the 15 speaker have been mentioned:
They are Abdur Razzak Bin Yusuf (Salafi), Maulana Mufti Mahmudul Hassan (Mohammadpur Jamaiyatul Ulumil Islamia Madaras Muhtihim), Allama Mamunul Haq (Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish), Mufti Iliyasur Rahman Jihadi (Principal of Cantonment Baitul Rasul Cadet Madrasa and Orphanage ), Mufti Fayzul Karim (Senior Naib-e-Amir of the Islamic Movement), Muzaffer Bin Muhsin, Mufti Shakawat Hossain (Islamic Oikya Front’s Joint Secretary), Motiur Rahman Madani, Maulana Amir Hamza, Maulana Sifat Hasan, Peer of Deoyanabagi, Maulana Arif Billah, Hafez Maulana Faisal Ahmed Helal and Mohammed Rakbiba Ibn Siraj.
In the letter, the objectionable speech of the speakers (Mufti) at the Waj Mahfil has been highlighted.
The letter gave the directive to the concerned people that they should be given a solid voice in the context of the real spirit of Islam, so that they can train and motivate them. In this case, the role of local administration and community police by the Islamic Foundation is significant.
Encourage pro-active action taken against those who try to destroy the sentiments of religion by giving ridiculous and controversial speech at Wajmahfil.
In the letter instructed that there are many speakers (Mufti) who joined the wajmahfil travelling with helicopter and took good amount of money for delivering few hours speech, and whether they pay income tax regularly and properly.
