BSS, Dhaka :
A Bangladesh delegation, led by Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, will attend the 10th meeting of the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) slated for September 27-28 next in Brussels.
The Speaker gave her consent to lead the Bangladesh team in the conference as Bangladesh Ambassador to Belgium Md Shahdat Hossain met her here on Thursday, said a press release of the Parliamentary Secretariat. The envoy appraised the Speaker of different aspects of the ASEP-10th meeting arranged by the European Parliament in Brussels. The ASEP is the parliamentary extension of the Asian-European political dialogue, an effort to enhance relations between Europe and Asia. The most visible element of this dialogue has traditionally been the biannual Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), an intergovernmental summit first held in 1996.
