Speaker of the Parliament and CPA Executive Committee Chairperson Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP on Thursday returned home after visiting United States and United Kingdom.
In New York, Shirin attended an interactive dialogue titled “Tackling inequality, empowering women and girls and leaving on one behind” in Sustainable Development Goals Summit as panel speaker. She also took part in different sessions of United Nations.
Besides, the Speaker participated at the CPA Executive Committee and General Assembly Meeting in London, said a press release.
Chief Whip A S M Firoz, MP, Senior Secretary of Parliament Secretariat M Ashraful Makbul and other officials concerned received the Speaker at the airport.
