Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Saturday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AMA Muhith.
In a message of condolence, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, said an official press release.
Muhith, acclaimed widely as an economist, diplomat, language veteran and freedom fighter, breathed his last at the United Hospital in the capital early today at 88 years old.
