Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker and Chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury leaves here today on a six-day visit to Vietnam at the invitation of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
“During the visit, the Bangladesh speaker will hold meetings with Vietnamese State President Tran Dai Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly President Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan,” a Parliament Secretariat press release said here.
Dr Shirin Sharmin will also have a meeting with Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong.
Members of Parliament (MPs) Imran Ahmed, Pankaj Debnath, AM Naimur Rahman and Senior Secretary of Parliament Secretariat Dr Md Abdur Rab Hawladar will accompany the speaker during her tour.
