Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Friday left for Mumbai to join the 2nd World Women Leadership Congress and Award (WWLCA), according to a handout.
It said Dr Shirin, also executive chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association will back to Dhaka on February 15. Lawmaker Sagufta Yeasmin is also accompanied with the Speaker.
Officials of the Parliament Secretariat were present at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport during her departure, the handout said.
