Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Tuesday left here for Kathmandu to join a high-level policy dialogue on women’s economic empowerment to be held on March 23 in the Nepali capital.
Also Chairperson of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Dr Shirin is joining the policy dialogue on “Women and Economic Empowerment” as a panel discussant at the invitation of Harvard Kennedy School of United State (US) and Evidence for Policy Design of India, said an official handout here on Tuesday.
Senior Secretary of Bangladesh Parliament Dr Md Abdur Rab Hawlader and other officials of the parliament secretariat saw the speaker off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here, it said.
