Jatiya Sangsad Speaker and CPA Chairperson Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Friday extended her heartiest congratulations to Bangabandhu’s granddaughter Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, Rushanara Ali and Dr Rupa Huq on their reelection in the United Kingdom parliament polls.
In a greeting message, she said the victory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s granddaughter Tulip Siddiq has brought special pride for Bangalee nation.
She said besides the wining of Rushanara and Rupa has brightened further the image of the Bangladesh in the world.
“Bangladesh can be proud of them,” the speaker said.
Sharmin Chaudhury expressed her hope that the three Bangladeshi origin British female politicians would play an important role to the development of the UK and to further strengthen the bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Britain.
