Speaker of the Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Tuesday expressed deep shock at the death of Opposition Chief Whip in the parliament and Jatiya Party lawmaker of Kurigram-2 constituency Md Tajul Islam Choudhury.
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Md Fazle Rabbi Miah, Chief Whip ASM Feroz and Deputy leader Syeda Shajeda Chowdhury also expressed deep shock at the death of Islam.
They conveyed deep sympathy to members of the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
Meanwhile, in separate condolence massages, Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Khandker Mosharraf Hossain , LGRD and Cooperatives State Minister Md Mashiur Rahman and Public Administration State minister Ismat Ara Sadique prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
