Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker and Chairperson of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) executive committee, Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of Dilwara Hasin, mother Munshiganj-2 lawmaker Begum Segufta Yasmin.
Hasin breathed her last at Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital on June 9. She was 75.
Dr Chaudhury, in a condolence message, prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Hasin and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In separate messages, Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip ASM Feroz also expressed shock at the death of Hasin.
