Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Sunday expressed deep shock at the death of former lawmaker, veteran Awami League leader and freedom fighter Mohammad Yusuf.
Yusuf was elected MP from Rangunia constituency in Chittagong in 1991.
Speaker in a condolence message recalled contributions of Mohammad Yusuf to the War of Liberation with deep respect.
“The nation has lost a dedicated and selfless leader and a social worker in the death of Yusuf. We lost a politician of clean image,” she said.
