Speaker calls to build nation free from exploitation and poverty

Speaker of the Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury called upon all to build a Bangladesh, free from exploitation and poverty by embracing the philosophy of Bangabandhu.
“We have to build an exploitation and poverty free Bangladesh following the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who loved the Bengali nation deeply and fought for the economic and political liberation of this country,” she said.
“Strong in self-confidence, this great leader never bowed down to injustice,” she added.
She said this on Monday while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organized by the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat on the occasion, of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.
The function was presided over by Senior Secretary of Parliament Secretariat Zafar Ahmed Khan.
The Speaker said Bangabandhu an undisputed leader who was uncompromising all his life in realizing the rights of the people of Bengal out of greed and despair.
 “Even on the black night of March 25, he declared independence with indomitable courage.” she said.
Speaker said that the only goal of Bangabandhu was to build a happy and prosperous ‘Sonar Bangla’, free from deprivation, suitable for the livelihood of common people.
“We all need to cooperate in the way Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has dedicated herself to building the country through her tireless work,” she added.
Deputy Speaker Fazley Rabbi Miah, Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury, Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Whip Atiur Rahman Atiq were present, among others.
