AFP, Madrid :
Spain’s jobless queue shrank a little in July, the government said Monday, as the summer tourism season opened.
The number of people registered as unemployed fell month-on-month by 29,841 people, or 0.67 percent, to 4.42 million in July, the Labour Ministry said.
It was the sixth straight month showing a decline in the number of people who have registered as unemployed.
When corrected to smooth out seasonal blips, however, the number of registered unemployed actually rose by 32,357 people in July.
