An eight-member Spanish delegation paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Tuesday at the latter’s office. Prof. Maria Josefa Martinez Lopez, Head of Inditex Chair of Spanish Language and Culture led the delegation. Other members of the delegation are Prof. Santiago Fernandez Mosquera, Prof. Amparo Porta Rivas, Prof. Ana D. Tarrio, Elena Roca Moro, Javier Torres, Maria A Villarino and Carlos Garcia, said a DU press release.
During the meeting they stressed the need for strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic, research and cultural exchange programmes being conducted by the University of Dhaka and various universities in Spain.
