A four-member delegation led by Prof. Fernando Pana Lopez, Director of the International Relations Office of the University of Corunna, Spain, called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at his office on Thursday.
Other members of the delegation are Amparo Porta Rivas, Carlos PineiroAneiros and Santiago Fernandez Mosquera. Director of the Institute of Modern Lenguages of Dhaka University Sultan Ahmed and Director of CSR of Inditex, Bangladesh Razaul Karim Bhuiyan were present on the occasion. During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programmes on ‘Spanish language and culture’ by the University of Dhaka and Universities in Spain.
They also stressed the need of exchange of more teachers, students and researchers between the two institutions. The DU VC thanked the guests for their visit to and keen interest in the academic activities of Dhaka University.
