Launching ceremony of promising singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Karishma Sanu Sovvota’s first solo album titled Jodi Thakto Dana was held at the TSC Swimming Pool of Dhaka University campus on Friday.
Each album was comprised with special freebies – a poster, a badge and a T-shirt. The album launching ceremony was followed by a live concert where Sovvota performed in front of the audience.
Jodi Thakto Dana contains seven songs. While six of them are written and tuned by Sovvota herself, the remaining one is a cover medley, rightfully named Trirotno, a soulful tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Zazrul Islam and DL Roy.
All the tracks on the album, except for Trirotno were arranged by Shahrin Shahriar, Aliester Sarkar Raj and Samiul Wahid.
The track Trirotno was arranged by Khayam Sanu Sandhi.
YouTube is currently streaming the music video for Ekhanei poth aamar, the raging second track from Jodi Thakto Dana – which was directed by Rashed Zaman.
