Southern University crushed East Delta University by a massive 187 runs in the Dokhina First Inter-University T20 Cricket Tournament at the Divisional Women’s Sports complex here on Sunday.
Southern University batted first after winning the toss and piled up huge 238 runs for 4 in stipulated 20 overs
Sajjadul Haque hammered 96 runs and was adjudged the man of the match.
Besides, Kazi Kamrul (40), Iftekhar Sajjad (40), Ashraf (25) and Akib (20) were the other major contributors for Southern University.
Hasan took two wickets for 52 runs.
Chasing a huge target, East Delta University were bundled out for 51 runs in 17.2 overs with Mehedi scoring 22 runs.
Iftekhar Sajjad grabbed three wickets for three runs, Kazi Kamrul and Ratan claimed two wickets each conceding 4 and 21 runs respectively.
