South Zone keep game in balance after Nasum six-for in BCL

The game between BCB South Zone and BCB North is in the balance after the day two of the second round of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.
Nasum Ahmed’s 6-126 was the highlight of the day as North Zone were bowled out for 385, resuming the day two on 246-4. At stumps, South Zone were 112-2, trailing by 273 runs.
North Zone bowler left South Zone 54-2 and established early command but Amite Hasan and Towhid Hridoy ruined their advantage with a 58-run partnership for the undefeated third wicket stand. Before the bails were drawn for the day, Hridoy was batting on 39 with Amite on 31, keeping South Zone’s hope of taking a lead alive.
Earlier, Naeem Islam started the day for North Zone with 126 but could add just 11 to his overnight total to be out for 137.
After his dismissal, Mohidul Islam Ankon and Sharifullah led the revival of North Zone innings amid the regular strike of Nasum.
