South Korean President Moon Jae-in has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Sheikh Hasina on her assuming office as the Prime Minister for the fourth time.
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Korea, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your fourth inauguration as the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh,” he said on Thursday in his message to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The South Korean President said under the distinguished leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh enjoyed high economic growth rates for the past several years.
“I believe the ‘Vision 2021’, which is carried out by the 50th anniversary of independence, will lead to great achievements again,” he said.
Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1973, Moon Jae-in said, Korea and Bangladesh have enjoyed amicable ties in a wide range of areas, including in the fields of political, economic, and cultural cooperation, and people-to-people exchange.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with you for the future-oriented cooperation between the two countries,” he said.
The South Korean President wished the Prime Minister continued good health and for everlasting prosperity of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
