South Africa-West Indies match ends in tie

The warm-up of the ICC U-19 World Cup between South Africa and West Indies ended in a tie at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Sunday.
Sent into bat first, the Caribbean U-19 team scored 153 for 9 in a reduced 35-over-a-side match due to fog with Ku Carty making the team highest 45 runs off 52 balls, hitting eight fours and one six.
MD Frew contributed not out 33 runs off 34 balls including three fours and two sixes while Imlach scored 32-ball 24 runs, hitting five boundaries.
C Mckerr grabbed three wickets for 30 runs while AD Galieml took two for 30 runs.
In reply, South Africa U-19 side also scored 153 runs for the loss of four wickets in a curtailed 35 overs to settle for a tie.
One down PWA Mulder made an unbeaten 58 runs off 67 balls featuring eight boundaries, opener L Smith scored a patient 79-ball 39 runs with five fours while another opener K Verreynne scored 31-ball 33 runs.
KMA Maul, SK Spinger, MD Frew and JU Godie took one wicket each.
In the day’s other warm-up match, Scotland U-19 team beat Fiji U-19 side by 21 runs at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Outer Stadium in Fatullah.
Batting first after winning the toss, Scotland U-19 side made 192 for 8 in 36-over-a-side delayed start match due to fog with RA Johnson making 53, FDW McCreath 36 and Owais Shah 35 runs.
J Baleicikoibia captured three wickets for 26 runs, C Tikoisvva and JF Charters took two wickets each conceding 22 and 31 runs respectively.
Chasing a target of 193 runs, Fiji Under-19 side were all out for 171 runs in 31.3 overs with DS Maraiwei scoring 57, Y Yabaki not out 36 and PV Vuniwaqa 22 runs.
H Aslam picked up four wickets for 39 runs, MD Rao claimed three wickets for 22 runs while Azeem Dar took two for 8 runs.
