Two policemen were injured when a sound grenade accidently went off during a training exercise at Rajarbagh Police Lines on Saturday.
The incident took place in the afternoon, Paltan Police Station OC Morshed Alam confirmed bdnews24.com.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commission Masudur Rahman told bdnews24.com that the training was part of the preparatory procedure for the policemen who are supposed to go to UN peacekeeping mission.
He said injuries of the police officials were minor.
They received first-aid at the scene and went home, Rahman added.
