An all-round performance by Souyma Sarker powered Bangladesh A team to win over Zimbabwe A by six wickets in their second one-dayer match at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Tuesday.
Bangladesh A leveled the one-dayer series 1-1.
Earlier, Zimbabwe A beat Bangladesh A by 17 runs in the first one-dayer at the same venue on September 28.
Today the last and final One-dayer clash will be held at the same venue. The match begins at 9.00 am BST (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Soumya Sarker hit a marvelous 86 from 83 balls featuring 12 fours and a sixer and captured two wickets instead of 23 runs and was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Deciding to bat first, Zimbabwe scored 163 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh made 156 for the loss of four wickets in 31.1 overs before the rain stopped the play.
Later, the two umpires set a target of 158 runs in 47 overs to win for Bangladesh A as per Duckworth/Lewis Method.
Bangladesh A romped home in 31.4 overs making 158 for the loss of four wickets.
Liton Kumar scored 29 from 61 balls featuring two sixes and one four.
Wellington Masakadza and Tafadzwa Kamungozi got two wickets each conceding 18 and 52 runs respectively.
Earlier, Vusimuzi Sibanda was the only batsman of Zimbabwe A who shone with the willow. Sibanda hit a captain’s knock of 74 from 97 balls with seven shots across the ropes.
Zubair Hossain, Elias Sunny bagged a pair of wickets each at the cost of 28 and 29 runs respectively.
Besides, Mominul Haque and Md Shohid took one wicket each for 20 and 30 runs respectively.
