In the thick of the field action of the second limited over match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, the home team has opted for at least a single change in the combination of the third and final ODI.
Opener Soumya Sarkar is reportedly been called to join in the national squad before the final encounter of the ongoing ODI series against visiting Zimbabwe. Bangladesh national team chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu has confirmed his inclusion to one of the leading dailies.
The young Bangladesh opener is presently playing in the match between Rajshahi and Khulna in the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL). Now, on getting the national team call up, Soumya has to abandon the first class match to join in the national team camp in Chattogram.
The third and final match of three match series is scheduled to take place a day after on October 26 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
With the second match in progress at the above mentioned venue, Bangladesh have deployed an unchanged combination. The home team came to win the first match by 28 runs after being rescued by opener Imrul Kayes’ blistering hundred.
Bangladesh are going on in the series without their premier performers opener Tamim Iqbal Khan and Shakib Al Hasan; both of them are struggling with injuries and has been spared for the series.
Bangladesh will appear in a two Test match series against Zimbabwe after the ODI series. The first Test will start from November 3 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
