SOS Children’s Village Library inaugurate

SOS Children’s Village Sylhet has teamed up with M A Samad Chowdhury Foundation Sylhet and set up the ‘SOS Children’s Village Library’ at the Village premises on 09 March.
 Mohammad Farid Uddin PPM, Superintendent of Police, Sylhet, inaugurated the library. From now on, Children, mothers, aunts, and coworkers of SOS Children’s Village Sylhet will be able to enjoy these books at their convenience. The library consists of books on ancient and horror stories, fiction, nonfiction, science fiction, literature, inspirational, language, and an excellent collection for young readers.
The opening ceremony was held in the conference room of SOS Children’s Village Sylhet. The ceremony began with a ‘Meet and Greet session with Mr. Mohammad Farid Uddin PPM, Superintendent of Police, Sylhet, and Children of SOS Children’s Village Sylhet. Md. Rafiqul Islam Additional Superintendent of Police, Osmaninagar Circle, Misbah Ahmed Bin Samad Chowdhury, founder of M A Samad Chowdhury Foundation,Shymol Banik, Incharge- Expatriate Welfare Desk, Sylhet, S M Mainuddin, OC Osmaninagar, Sylhet and other guests, were present on the occasion.
“With this Library, M A Samad Chowdhury Foundation expanded its friendship to SOS Children’s Village Sylhet with this,” Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Ali, Director, SOS Children’s Village Sylhet, said in his welcome speech.
After which Mr. Misbah Ahmed Bin Samad Chowdhury, the founder of M A Samad Chowdhury Foundation, shared his statement, addressing the importance of the Library at SOS Children’s Village Sylhet. He said, “There are some books which you only get to see at the SOS Children’s Village Library and they introduce children, mothers and coworkers to diverse knowledge. It’s amazing. We hope to expand it more in the future.”
