The Income Tax Department said in a statement that Indian actor Sonu Sood has evaded taxes of over Rs 20 crore, as per reports. IT Department officials had visited his house for three days and searches were conducted at six places linked to him. As per reports, the IT Department said that the actor’s non-profit also raised Rs 2.1 crore from overseas donors using a crowdfunding platform. It stated that this was in violation of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act that governs such transactions.
