Popular TV actress of present time Sonia Hossain is going to perform in a film under the direction of noted filmmaker Sohanur Rahman Sohan. Produced under the banner of Multimedia Production Co Sonia has been selected in one of the two important roles in Sohan’s film Wow Baby Wow (Abola Nari).
On Monday night, Sohan finally selected Sonia to cast her for the film. Sonia will perform in role of Jhumka in the film. But Sohan didn’t disclose any other information about the role right now.
After a break of few years, Sonia has been engaged with acting in full swing. This time she wants to act in good story based works. As a part of its continuation, after acting in films U-Turn and Ratrir Jatri, Sonia is going to act in a commercial film.
While talking about Sonia Sohanur Rahman Sohan told this correspondent, “To become a heroine, Sonia has all kinds of qualities right now. She has a nice smiling face. If she performs and presents herself properly Sonia can develop her career in the film industry.”
Sonia shared her feelings by this way, “Sohan Sir is a reputed and talented director. I watched his directed films – Keyamat Thekey Keyamat, Sajan, Benam Badshah, Maa Jokhon Bicharok and Kotha Dao Sathi Hobey. I like his filmmaking. I had dreamt to work in his directed film. For this reason, I have agreed to work in this film with good story and scope to work under his direction. I think it will be a nice work.”
Mahurrat of this film is scheduled to be held at Floor No 8 in Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on Thursday at 6:00pm. Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu will be present as chief guest, while Information Secretary Murtaja Ahmed, President of Film Directors Association Delwar Jahan Jhontu and President of Film Actors Association Shakib Khan will be present as special guests on the occasion.
Chhotku Ahmed has written story and dialogue of the film Wow Baby Wow. Shooting of the film will start in Cox’s Bazar from February 25. Srabon Khan (Shuvo) will perform against Sonia in the film.
It may be mentioned that as a director, Sohanur Rahman Sohan first gave direction to film Biswas Obiswas in 1990. Benam Badshah was his directed second film. Casting late Salman Shah and Moushumi his directed film Keyamat Thekey Keyamat was super-hit movie.
Sohan’s directed last released film was Lobhey Paap Paapey Mrittyu.
