Viewers’ choice popular actress Sonia Hossain acted in a movie after a long time. According to Sonia, her special appearance in the movie will impress the viewers. Hridy Haque has made the government-grant movie 1971 Seisob Din where Sonia performed
with a play-back song titled Ye Roshan Sitaro. Debjyoti Mishra has composed tune and music of the song, while Trisha Chatterji lent her voice for the song. Sonia has already taken part in shooting of the song. Now the actress is waiting to get release date of the movie. While talking in this regard Sonia said, “For some reasons, I am very much eager and delightfully waiting to get release date of the movie in big screen. First of all, story of the movie is based on liberation war. Secondly, it is a government-grant movie. Earlier, I didn’t get the scope to act in government-grant movie. Thirdly, Hridy Apa is a talented director. Overall, I am waiting to get release date of this movie. There is nothing to say about self performance. But I can realise how much better I performed in the song. During shooting, full unit was delighted about my performance. I am impressed with it. Hridy Apa has made the film cordially. So, I am very much eager for releasing the movie now. I want after releasing viewers will go to cinema halls to watch the movie.”
Meanwhile, November 24 was Sonia’s birthday. But there was no arrangement on her birthday. Sonia passed time with her husband at home. The actress is expecting in 2022 she will come with some new projects. She hopes viewers will watch her in new way through these projects. Though the season of stage show started Sonia did not become regular due to family reasons, she said.
In 2015, Sonia first acted in film U-Turn directed by Alvi Ahmed. According to Sonia, if she gets good story she wants to work in television drama. She also wants to present herself as a director. After completing her preparations, she will be seen as a director next year. Few years ago, Sonia got CJFB Awards in category of Best Actress (Popular Actress category).
