On November 19, ‘Chadni Smaran Sondhya’ (memorial evening) is scheduled to be held at a city restaurant in Gulshan area. This memorial evening is going to be arranged by hero and heroine of Ehteshamur Rahman directed movie Chadni, Shabnaz and Naim to celebrate silver jubilee of releasing the movie.
Those persons who were attached with the movie ‘Chadni,’ among others, will be present in the programme where Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP is expected to be present as chief guest. Filmmaker Azizur Rahman will preside over the function.
Son of late singer Khalid Hasan Milu, Protik Hasan and lyricist of all the songs of Chadni, Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s daughter popular singer Dithi Anwar will render songs of the movie in the programme. Both of them are very much excited to get such an opportunity to render songs in the programme.
While sharing her feelings in this regard Dithi told this correspondent, “When ‘Chadni’ was released I was too young. Now I got the scope to render songs of the movie it is really a great luck for me. It is really difficult to express my feelings in this regard in a word.”
Another singer Protik Hasan said, “My father gave his voice for songs of Chadni. During that time I was only three or four years old. That time those songs really created an impact in my mind. Now Abbu is not alive. It is really a great luck for me to get the opportunity to render those songs which were rendered by Abbu earlier. I am really grateful to Naim Uncle and Shabnaz Aunty in this regard.”
It is noted that besides Khalid Hasan Milu, Runa Laila and Sabina Yasmin also gave their voices for playback songs of the movie. ‘Chadni’ was released on October 2, 1991.
Meanwhile, Protik Hasan has returned from Singapore yesterday after performed in a stage show. On the other hand, Dithi Anwar is hosting a musical show on Maasranga TV now.
