Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP said this while speaking as the chief guest at the cover unveil of Sondhyar Meghmala, a collection of Tagore songs and sung by Jailor Bikash Raihan held recently at Channel i auditorium in the city’s Tejgaon area.
Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Jail Md Bajloor Rashid, Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagar and renowned Tagore singer and Chairman of Dance Department of Dhaka University Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya, veteran Tagore singer Quaderi Kibria and renowned singer Linu Billah were also present as special guests on the occasion.
Bikash Raihan began his music career at an early age. Born in 1974 in Satkhira he completed his school and college there before doing his honors’ in English literature from Dhaka University. He then joined the public service. His uncle was his first guru (mentor) and the legacy follows on with some renowned names in the industry.
