Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club and Golden Chess Club took joint lead in the Walton Home Appliance 1st Division Chess League securing identical 10 points after the 6th round matches at Bangladesh Chess Federation hallroom on Sunday.
Debadas Biswas Smriti Sangsad and Basir Memorial Chess Club share the 2nd slot, both bagging 8 points each.
In the 6th round matches, Sonali Bank S&RC drew against Golden CC by 2-2 points.
Saiful Islam Chowdhury and Protul Chandra Bose of Sonali Bank S&RC beat Khorshed Alam and Ikramul Haque Siam of Golden CC respectively while Feroz Ahmed and Abdullah Al-Saif of Golden Chess won against Abu Hanif and Dewan Shahidul Amin Tipu.
Debdas Biswas SS beat Destiny 2000 Limited by 4-0 points.
Basir Memorial Chess defeated Farashganj Sporting Club by 3-1 points and Protiva Daba Goshti beat Mohakhali Pradip Sangah by 2.5-1.5 points.
