The state-owned Sonali Bank has appealed for cancellation of candidature of Tabith Awal, son of BNP Chairperson’s Adviser businessman Abdul Awal Mintu, for his default in paying loan.
Following such application of Sonali Bank, a hearing will be arranged today (Tuesday) to settle the issue, Shahidul Islam, an
official of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner said on Monday.
The Election Commission earlier has declared the candidature of Tabith Awal as valid while his father candidature was cancelled.
