Shohagh Sarder, 30 of Jamalpur village under Bagharpara upazila in Jessore district committed suicide hanging from a tree nearby his residence after the death of his father Rostam Ali Sarder, 60 as he hit him in the head with a spade following a sudden feud over sharing of a piece of land.
The incident has been taken place at Jamalpur on Thursday noon.
Manjurul Islam, officer in-charge, Bagharpara police station told that being traumatized after killing his father the son committed suicide hanging from a tree nearby his residence. ‘The son hit his father with a spade in the head following a sudden feud over sharing of land,’ he added.
Rehena Parvin, member, local union council echoed with the officer in-charge.
Masudul Islam, intern doctor, Jessore General Hospital told that the elder man died due to excessive bleeding. ‘He was rushed to the hospital at noon and died there in the afternoon,’ he added.
