Sohayel Mia of the Daily Manob Kantho and Hasan Mahmud Rubel of The New Nation have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of Jagannath University Journalists’ Association (JnUJA).
The JnU Proctor and Chief Election Commissioner Dr Noor Mohammad announced the result on Thursday.
The other office bearers are Vice-President Golam Mawla Rumi of the Daily Manab Zamin, Joint-Secretary Mirajul Islam of the daily Bhorer Kagoj, Organising Secretary Masum Parvej of The Daily Observer, Finance Secretary Rafiqul Islam of The Independent, Office Secretary Humayun Kabir of Amader Samoy and Executive members Jubayer Abdullah of Ittefaq and Saddam Hossain.
Meanwhile, Dhaka University Journalists’ Associations, Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association, Bangladesh Agriculture University Journalists’ Association, Sher-e Bangla Agriculture University Journalists’ Association, Chittagong University Journalists’ Association, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Press Club congratulated the newly elected executive body of JnUJA.
