Shipping Minster and Banlgadesh Road Transport Sramik Union President Md. Sajahan Khan MP on Tuesday urged the people from all walk of life to make united efforts to resist Jamaat-Shibir, militancy, terrorism, secret killings and conspiracy against the country.
Sajahan Khan M.P strongly condemned the recent militant attacks and killing of foreigners and local citizens at Gulshan in the capital and Sholakia in Kishoreganj .
Shiping Minister visited at Sholakia in Kishoreganj town on Tuesday noon.
A social movement peace meeting was held at Azim Uddin High School premises with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Tarafder Md. Akther Jamil in the chair.
It was addressed among others by Rejowan Ahmed Toufiq M.P, Dr. Enamul Haqul Rahman M.P, Zila Parished Administrator Md. Zillur Rahman, Police Super Md. Anower Hossain Khan, Sramik leader Osman Gani, District Sramik League President ABM Sirajul Islam, Headmaster of Azim Uddin High School Sukrana.

BSS from Rangpur reports: Leaders of Mohila Sramik League (MSL) have called upon the mothers to become more aware about their children and take care for bringing up them properly to root out militancy and terrorism from the society.
They made the call at post-protest procession rally cum human chain organised by district unit of MSL against the anti-state conspiracies, terrorism, militancy, fundamentalism and anarchy at Katchari Bazar zero point in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, hundreds of the leaders and activists of district unit of MSL brought out the protest procession that paraded the main streets from district Awami League office at Betpotti area to Katchari Bazar zero point in the city.
President of district MSL Shahida Rahman Rita presided over the rally cum human chain programme at Katchari Bazar zero point.
Vice-president of district MSL Nazma Hasan, its Organising Secretary Jahanara Begum and Joint Secretary Mohsena Zaman, among others, addressed the programme moderated by General Secretary of district MSL Latifa Begum Mira.
In her welcome speech, Latifa Begum Mira said the mothers give birth to their children and generally take care all the time for bringing them up to make them enlightened and worthy citizens of the country.
“But sometimes, mothers cannot properly take care of children and fathers mostly look after them when vested quarters take the advantage to attract the children towards fundamentalist extremism as care of fathers remains inadequate,” she said.
Shahida Rahman Rita said the mothers should become more aware about their children in knowing their minds, mental status, personal needs and problems and give more times to them like friends in every family.
“It the mothers become equally aware and sincere along with other
responsibilities, the vested quarters and conspirators will definitely fail to misguide their children through misinterpreting the meaning of Islam, the religion of peace,” she said.
She called upon the mothers to become aware and unite the womenfolk from all walks in the society in launching a vigorous social movement to foil the anti-state conspiracies through rooting out terrorism, militancy, fundamentalism and anarchy.
Another reports adds: Leaders of Awami Swechchasebak League (ASL) here today said the BNP-Jamaat clique has been hatching conspiracies and patronising the militancy, terrorism and fundamentalist extremism to destabilise the country.
They also called upon the pro-liberation forces and common people to resist terrorism, militancy, fundamentalism and anarchy through foiling all conspiracies being hatched against the country.
They made the call at a post-procession discussion arranged in observance of the 22nd founding anniversary of ASL at its office in Betpotti area in the city with a fresh vow to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The district and city units of ASL jointly chalked out programmes,
including hoisting of the national and party flags, placing floral wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, rally and discussion.
Hundreds of leaders of the district and city units of ASL along with leaders of district and city units of Awami League (AL), its all associate bodies, civil society members, sociocultural activists and professionals participated in the procession.
Acting President of district AL and Zila Parishad Administrator Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed led the procession and attended the discussion as the chief guest with President of district unit of ASL Sirajul Islam Pramanik in the chair.
General Secretary of district AL Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, President of city AL Shafiar Rahman Shafi and its General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mandal were present as the special guests.

The speakers said the defeated forces of 1971, killers of 1975, August 21, 2004 grenade attackers and BNP-Jamaat clique have been trying to destroy the hard-earned independence, sovereignty, democracy creating anarchy in the country.
Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju urged the leaders and workers of ASL, AL and its all associate organisations to foil all conspiracies through rooting out militancy, terrorism, secret and targeted killings and anarchy.
Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed called upon the pro-liberation forces and common people for further strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a middle income Bangladesh by rooting out the anti-liberation forces and militancy.
