Sylhet District Administration organized a social harmony meeting with various public representatives, officials, employees, headmen, carbers, students, local dignitaries and various religious representatives at Zillaparishad Hall Room in Sylhet on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Md. Mojibor Rahman presided over and conducted by District Cultural Officer Asit Baran Das Gupta.
Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet Muhammad Mosharraf Hossain attend the rally as chief guest.
Divisional Commissioner said Islam is a religion of peace. The main goal of Islam is to establish an environment of love, friendship and peace and harmony around the world by ensuring the provision of peace in all areas. So religious and social harmony is necessary to establish peace in the society.
