A youth died from snakebite at Baghata village under Baniachong upazila of the district yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Al-Amin, 20, a resident of the same area.
Locals said, a poisonous snake bit Al-Amin while he was catching fish in a haor near the village.
He was rushed to local hospital but succumbed to his injuries later.
