A minor boy died from snakebite at Adhabaria Shapla Chattar area under Daulatpur upazila of the district on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Rasel, 8, son of Abdul Khalek of the area.
Local UP Chairman Mokbul Hossain said a poisonous snake bit Rasel while he went to collect firewood from kitchen.
Local people rushed him to Daulatpur Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.
