A mango trader died from snakebite at Chakgopal Village in Porsha Upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Rubel Hossain, 45, son of late Mafiz Uddin of Boran Jazipara Majhar Village under Tongi Police Station in Gazipur District. Locals said, Rubel used to buy mangoes from Naogaon and send those to Dhaka. A venomous snake bit him when he was in bed. Later, he died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. After interrogation, one of the detainees Pintu confessed about the murder, said Mafizul Islam, sub-inspector of DB police.
