Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized huge quantity of smuggled Indian goods worth Tk 41lakh from Natuanhat area of Benapole-Jashore Highway on Tuesday night.
BGB-49 Commanding Officer Lt Col Selim Reza said that Tipped off, a team of BGB men intercepted a Dhaka-bound bus of Shyamoli Paribahan in the night.
They seized 126 mobile phones, clothes, fake jewelry, cosmetics, medicine and spices worth Tk 41 lakh. no body was arrested in this connection.
The seized smuggled goods were deposited to the Jashore customs house.
A case was filed in this connection.
