UNB, Benapole (Jessore) :
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), in a drive, seized huge quantity of smuggled Indian goods worth about Taka 17.44 crore from Amrakhali of Benapole frontier here on Saturday.
BGB-26 sources said the seized goods are: huge quantities of Indian imitation ornaments, baby foods and others Indian illegal goods.
Lt Col Motiur Rahman, Commander of Jessore-26 Battalion, said members of the BGB conducted the drive in the area and seized the goods. Sensing the presence of BGB the smugglers fled away, he added.
