BSS, Dhaka :
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon on Sunday said newly introduced Smart Cards which were previously dubbed as voters ID were meant to ensure peoples civic privileges alongside the voting rights.
“The smart card will offer relief to citizens from different hassles in getting civic services . . . it will save time, money and ensure the availability of quality civic amenities,” he said while distributing smart cards at Mirza Abbas College at Shahjahanpur here this morning.
The minister expected the card to appear as an instrument to protect citizens from different fraudulences or cheating.
