Slovenian Envoy presents credentials to President

Newly appointed Slovenian Ambassador to Bangladesh Darja Bavdez Kuret presented her credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Thursday. Welcoming the ambassador to the Bangabhaban, the President said Bangladesh is keen on widening and diversifying its relations with Slovenia.
Abdul Hamid stressed the need for exchange of visits at high political level between the two countries that would open up avenues for materializing existing potentials of bilateral cooperation.
The President also said that there exists huge opportunities for the Slovenian investors to invest in Bangladesh in different sectors.
Darja Bavdez Kuret said she would try to promote relations between the two countries.
Mentioning that the trade volume between the two countries is now 15 million US dollar, the envoy said other kinds of cooperation like exchange of cultural programmes is required between the two countries.
Earlier, on her arrival at Bangabhaban, the new Slovenian ambassador was given a guard of honor by a smart contingent of the President Guard Regiment on the premises of the presidential palace.
Senior Bangabhaban officials were present.
