After showing a short-lived recovery trend, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) finished the week on Thursday in red though the fall in all three indices was marginal.
DSEX, the general index, ended 25.18 points or 0.54 percent lower at 4635.33 when the blue-chip DS30 came 12.08 points or 0.71 percent down to 1669.67. The fall in Shariah index DSES was only 1.06 points or 0.10 percent as it closed at 1014.09.
Stockbrokers attributed the fall to the decline in bank, insurance, mutual fund and non-banking financial issues those led the day’s losing side.
